Nighttime lane closures are scheduled for Wednesday, August 20, 2025, as part of the Ashley River Crossing bridge construction project. The City of Charleston is working with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and Mastec-Civil to carry out this phase of the project.
According to city officials, MasTec will close US 17 Northbound starting near the intersection of Albemarle Road. The closure will extend approximately half a mile north and end near the exit ramp to Lockwood Blvd. The closure will begin at 9:00 pm on August 20 and continue until 6:00 am on Thursday, August 21.
The city has advised drivers to exercise caution when traveling through the affected area during these hours.
