The City of Charleston has announced an extension to the application deadline for the 2025 Holiday Parade of Boats. Boaters now have until 4:00 p.m. on December 7 to submit their applications to participate in this annual event.

Local boat owners are encouraged to decorate their vessels and join the parade, which is considered one of the area’s notable holiday traditions. The event will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The parade route will start at the Cooper River, continue through Charleston Harbor, and end in the Ashley River.

Spectators can view the illuminated boats from various points along Charleston’s waterfront, including The Battery or Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant.

According to city organizers: “We hope to see you all there, whether in the procession or watching from the shore!”

The extension gives more time for interested participants to register and be part of this community celebration.
