The College of Charleston men’s tennis team will travel to Louisiana for two upcoming matches. The Cougars, currently holding a 2-3 record, are scheduled to play against Nicholls State on Monday, March 2 at the Thibodaux Regional Sports Complex. Their second match will be against New Orleans on Tuesday, March 3 at the Privateer Tennis Center.

Nicholls State has a season record of 4-2 and recently lost to LSU, which is ranked seventh nationally. Last year, Nicholls State finished their season with an 11-11 record. The last meeting between Charleston and Nicholls State was in 2017, when Charleston won by a score of 6-1.

New Orleans enters the match with a 6-2 record but has lost its last two games. In the previous season, New Orleans ended with a 15-8 record. The Cougars and Privateers have faced each other twice before, each winning once.

In their most recent match, Charleston achieved a 7-0 sweep over Coppin State at the Coppin State Tennis Courts.

Jakub Solarski received recognition as Coastal Athletic Association Co-Player of the Week on February 17 after winning all three of his matches, including two singles victories in the No. 2 position.

Following these road contests, Charleston will return home for a match against Youngstown State on Saturday, March 7.
