The College of Charleston men’s tennis team secured a 4-3 victory against Davidson at the Davidson Tennis Courts on April 11, concluding their regular season with an overall record of 11-5 and a conference mark of 2-1.

This match marked the end of the regular season for both teams, with Charleston clinching the doubles point early. Jake Smith and Ram Mude won on court two, while Dani Farran and Juan Diego Rojas Mora claimed victory in slot No. 3 to give Charleston a lead.

Farran quickly followed up his doubles performance by winning his singles match on court five in straight sets, pushing Charleston ahead. After Davidson responded with a win in the top singles position, Leon Harder extended Charleston’s advantage by winning on court two. However, Davidson fought back to tie the score at three apiece after wins on courts six and four.

The deciding point came down to court three, where Ram Mude won both sets in tiebreaks to secure the match for Charleston. The final result was determined by this close contest as Mude’s performance sealed the team’s win.

Looking ahead, Charleston awaits its postseason fate as selections for the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament will be announced Monday, April 13. The tournament is scheduled to take place at William & Mary’s Mackesy Tennis Center starting Friday, April 17.
