The first edition of the South Carolina 500 highlights individuals who are shaping the economic landscape of the state. The 2025 list features Kevin Sheilley, President and CEO of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, as well as several Chamber members. Among those recognized are 13 former chairs or board members acknowledged for their leadership roles.

The South Carolina 500 aims to recognize people whose efforts have a significant impact on the state’s economy. The inclusion of numerous partners from the Charleston Metro Chamber demonstrates the organization’s influence in regional business development.

According to SCBiz, over 130 partners from the Charleston Metro Chamber were included in this year’s list, reflecting their contributions across various sectors.
