The City of Charleston has announced the return of the Holy City Holiday Park and Shop Pass for the 2025 holiday season. The initiative provides residents with two hours of free parking at four downtown garages from November 26 through December 31, 2025.

The program aims to support local businesses and make holiday shopping more convenient. The participating garages are Saint Philip Street Garage at 34 Saint Philip Street, Visitor Center Garage at 63 Mary Street, Majestic Square Garage at 211 King Street, and Queen Street Garage at 93 Queen Street. These locations were chosen due to their high participation in previous years and proximity to retail stores and restaurants.

A mobile version of the pass will be available for download on the city’s website starting November 26.

To use the pass, drivers must pull a ticket upon entering one of the listed garages. When leaving, they insert the ticket into the payment machine and scan the voucher’s QR code using a reader on the machine. The voucher covers up to two hours of parking; any additional time must be paid before exiting. Assistance is available by pressing a blue call button on the machine to speak with garage staff.

The city notes that “the Holiday Park and Shop Pass is not valid during special event rates” and that “other exclusions may apply.”
