The City of Charleston has opened registration for its Winter Youth Sports programs. Families can now enroll their children in sports such as flag football, basketball, and soccer. The deadline to register is Friday, October 18, 2025.

According to the city, these programs aim to keep children active and engaged during the winter season. “The City of Charleston offers year-round youth sports programs to foster healthy lifestyles, teamwork, and skill development. From beginner to advanced levels, our programs provide opportunities for children of all ages to stay active, learn new skills, and enjoy friendly competition.”

Registration can be completed online through the city’s official page. Parents are encouraged to sign up early as space is limited. For more information or questions about the program, families can call (843) 724-7327.

The Recreation Department provides a range of activities throughout the year designed for different age groups and skill levels.
