Charleston Police arrest suspect after West Ashley shooting leaves one injured

Officers from the Charleston Police Department arrested a suspect after a shooting incident in West Ashley on February 13, 2026. The shooting took place at a residence on Pineview Road at approximately 6:16 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found an adult victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is reported to have life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, identified as Bradon Davon Raequan Hamilton, age 29 and from Charleston, was located at the scene attempting to leave in a vehicle. He was taken into custody by police.

Hamilton faces several charges, including attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, and two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to detectives, “the victim and suspect were known to each other,” and “the suspect shot the victim during an argument inside the residence.”
