Jakub Solarski, a junior at the College of Charleston, has been named Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Co-Player of the Week after winning all three of his matches last week.

Solarski secured both points for the Cougars in their match against Coastal Carolina. He won his singles match 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the No. 2 position and teamed with Eddie Vo for a 7-6 (7) victory at No. 1 doubles. In Charleston’s subsequent 5-2 win over Wofford, Solarski again claimed victory in three sets at No. 2 singles (4-6, 6-4, 7-5). He and Vo were also leading their doubles match 5-4 when Charleston clinched the overall point.

This marks Solarski’s first CAA Player of the Week honor and his third career player of the week award; he received two such honors last year while playing for Norfolk State.

The Cougars are scheduled to play next on Friday, February 20 at Coppin State in Baltimore, Maryland. The match is set to begin at 3 p.m.
