Charleston sailing announces spring 2026 schedule with home regattas and national events

Charleston, S.C. – The College of Charleston sailing team has released its schedule for the 2026 spring season. Head coach Conner Blouin shared details of the upcoming competitions, which include several home regattas and national events.

The season begins on February 14-15 at the J. Stewart Walker Sailing Complex, where Charleston will host the SAISA Open Top 6 Invite and SAISA Women’s Top 6 Invite. On February 28 to March 1, the Cougars will remain at home for the Mendelblatt Open Team Race and will also participate in two events at Tulane: the Nelson Roltsch Open Team Race and Green Wave Women’s Team Race.

On March 7-8, Charleston hosts both the Bob Bavier Open Team Race and Phebe Corckran King Women’s Team Race. The following weekend, March 14-15, marks the College of Charleston Women’s Team Race.

The team is set to host the SAISA Open Team Race Championship from April 4-5 before traveling to Eckerd for the SAISA Open Fleet Race Championship from April 18-19. After these regional competitions, Charleston’s focus shifts to national championships. They will compete in the Open Team Race Nationals (April 23-25) and Women’s Team Race Nationals (April 26-27), both held at Tulane.

The season concludes in Tampa, Florida with several key events: Women’s Fleet Race Semifinals (May 15-16), Finals (May 17-18), and then the Open Fleet Race National Semifinals and Finals from May 19-22 at USF.

Coach Conner Blouin said, “We are excited about our spring schedule which features strong competition both at home and nationally.”
