Charleston seeks public input on WL Stephens Aquatic Center design plans

The City of Charleston is organizing a public meeting to collect community input on proposed improvements to the WL Stephens Aquatic Center. The event will allow residents to review and discuss preliminary design concepts for the facility.

City officials, along with representatives from LS3P and Seamon Whiteside, will present the initial ideas and invite feedback from attendees. According to city representatives, “Attendees will hear from city officials and the design team and will have opportunities to engage and provide input.”

The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. It will take place at the WL Stephens Aquatic Center Parkhouse located at 780 West Oak Forest Drive.

This session is part of the city’s efforts to involve residents in decisions regarding upgrades to local facilities.
