In the second inning, Tuupo doubled down the right field line to score Wolfley. The following inning saw Wolfley deliver a sacrifice fly that brought Nathan Martinez home. Brown responded in the top of the third with two runs from RBI singles.

Charleston Southern added another run in the fourth when Martinez hit an infield single that allowed Tuupo to score, making it 6-2. In the sixth, pinch hitter Ean Czech singled through the right side, scoring Tuupo from second base.

Wright hit his first career home run in the seventh inning, and later in that frame Reising drove in Wolfley with a double down the left field line. In the eighth, Speirs had an RBI single up the middle that scored Barile, pushing Charleston Southern’s total to double digits at 10 runs.
