Charleston Southern University’s women’s tennis team competed against Georgia Southern on Saturday afternoon, February 28. The match concluded with a 4-1 win for Georgia Southern.

In singles play, Marina Skegro secured a straight-set victory for Charleston Southern, winning 6-3, 6-0 against Evelyn Warkentin. Other matches saw Carlota Farres Carreter and Camila Molina Barranco in close contests that remained unfinished when the dual ended.

During doubles competition, the pairing of Camila Molina and Brenda Yoris earned a 6-4 win over Mihajlovic and Rosadoro from Georgia Southern. Despite this result, Georgia Southern claimed victories in the other two doubles matches.

The Buccaneers showed competitiveness throughout the event as they prepare for upcoming conference play.

Looking ahead, Charleston Southern is scheduled to face Queens on March 5 at 1:00 PM and Charlotte on March 6 at 11:00 AM. Both matches will take place at Charlotte as part of a multi-team event.
