Charleston Southern University’s men’s basketball team faced Radford University on Thursday night at Buccaneer Fieldhouse, losing 84-75. The game began with a three-pointer from Jacob Taylor, but the Buccaneers struggled to maintain momentum from beyond the arc, finishing the second half with only two successful three-point shots out of 18 attempts.

At halftime, Charleston Southern trailed by 12 points, with the score at 44-32 in favor of Radford. Although the Buccaneers outscored Radford in the second half (43-40), they were unable to overcome their early deficit and ultimately recorded their sixth consecutive loss.

A’lahn Sumler was one of just two Charleston Southern players to reach double figures in scoring, contributing 28 points during the game.

The next scheduled game for Charleston Southern is on February 2nd against Gardner-Webb at home. The previous meeting between these teams resulted in a win for Charleston Southern, who defeated Gardner-Webb 89-79 earlier this season in Boiling Springs.
