Charleston Southern University’s Carlota Farrés Carreter has been named the Big South Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for the opening week of the 2026 Spring season, following her undefeated performance.

Farrés began her collegiate singles career with a win against Florida’s Brooke Black on the #3 court, securing victory in a third-set tiebreak. She continued her form against South Carolina, winning the first set 6–1 before the match was left unfinished. In doubles play, Farrés partnered with Marina Skegro to face top-ranked pairs from both Florida and South Carolina. Their matches were competitive but did not reach completion.

The Charleston Southern women’s tennis team will return to action on January 31 when they host Wofford in Charleston.
