Charleston Southern University athletes Aden Price and Laden Beckwith have received weekly honors from the Big South Conference following their performances at the Orange & Purple Invite hosted by Clemson.

Aden Price was named Men’s Track Athlete of the Week. Earlier in January, he had already earned both Men’s Track Athlete and Freshman of the Week titles after setting a school and conference record in the 300m dash with a time of 33.30 seconds. At the recent Clemson meet, Price ran a 21.33 in the 200m and a 47.96 in the 400m, with both times ranking among Charleston Southern’s top ten for those events.

Laden Beckwith started his collegiate track career at this meet and advanced to the finals of the 60m dash, finishing second overall. His fastest time came in the semifinals at 6.74 seconds, which is now fourth-best in program history. Beckwith also competed on Charleston Southern’s 4x400m and distance medley relay teams during the event.

The team will take another weekend off before traveling to Blacksburg, Virginia for the Doc Hale Invite hosted by Virginia Tech from February 6 to February 7.
