Charleston Southern Women’s Tennis and Head Coach Anca Dumitrescu announced on April 29 the addition of Bicene Benzaied to the team. Benzaied, who is from Tunisia, brings experience from both national and international competitions.

Benzaied has been part of the Tunisian National Team since she was nine years old. She has represented Tunisia in various international events, including the African Championships at U12, U14, and U16 levels as well as competing in the U14 World Cup.

During the 2023–2024 season, Benzaied won the Tunisian Junior National Championship and was runner-up in the Women’s National Championship. She also competed on the International Tennis Federation Junior Circuit and claimed a victory at the ITF J30 Akouda event in November 2025.

According to Charleston Southern Women’s Tennis, Benzaied will join their program this fall with expectations to contribute immediately.

Head Coach Anca Dumitrescu said, “We are excited to welcome Bicene to our team. Her experience on both junior and senior levels will be an asset for us.”
