Northeastern tied the game late in the second quarter, but Jami Hill hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to give Charleston a halftime lead. In the third quarter, Northeastern briefly went ahead before Charleston responded with a run led by the Barbot twins and Tougas, ultimately outscoring Northeastern 23-2 during that stretch.
Key contributors included Taryn Barbot, who led all scorers with 22 points along with nine rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Grace Ezebilo recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 11 points and 13 rebounds, reaching her 1,000th career rebound. Tyja Beans added ten points and five rebounds while also surpassing 800 career points. Sophia Tougas contributed twelve points with two three-pointers.
