The Charleston women’s tennis team is set for two upcoming matches this week, beginning with an away game at Presbyterian on Wednesday, followed by their home opener against Nebraska on Friday.

Head Coach Angelo Anastopoulo commented, “We’re excited to get back on the courts starting tomorrow. We’ll look to get in the win column against Presbyterian tomorrow afternoon, and we’re thrilled for our home opener against Nebraska on Friday. It’s always great to host a Power 4 school and we look forward to a great week of tennis.”

The Cougars currently hold a 0-3 record as they prepare to face Presbyterian, which stands at 4-2 overall and remains undefeated at home this season. Charleston has a perfect 6-0 all-time record against Presbyterian.

Friday’s match marks the first time Charleston will compete against Nebraska. The Huskers come into the matchup with a 6-2 record and are coming off a decisive victory over Abilene Christian. However, Nebraska has not secured any wins in road games this season.

Most recently, Charleston experienced a 7-0 loss at #21 Clemson on February 14. After these matches, the team will travel to Nicholls State for another contest on Saturday, February 28.
