The Charleston women’s tennis team will travel to Clemson on Saturday to play against the No. 21 ranked Tigers. The match is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility.

Head coach Angelo Anastopoulo commented on the upcoming challenge, stating, “This will be a great test against top-25 team. Coach Boomer has done a great job building the team and has them playing with a lot of confidence. It will take our best effort to pull off the upset.”

Charleston enters the contest with an 0-2 record this season, while Clemson holds a 6-2 record. The Tigers have achieved notable wins this year, including a victory over then-ranked No. 13 Pepperdine as well as wins against Kansas State and Kansas.

Historically, Charleston is seeking its first win over Clemson since joining Division I.

In their most recent match, Charleston lost 7-0 to Mercer on January 24.

After facing Clemson, Charleston is set to play Presbyterian on Wednesday, February 18 at 2 p.m.
