The Charleston women’s tennis team will conclude its regular season with a home match against the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) at the Turner Tennis Center on Saturday, April 11. The event will also serve as senior day, honoring Jaiden McKee and Francesca Salvato for their contributions to the program.

This matchup is significant as it marks the final regular season contest before postseason play. The Cougars currently hold a record of 14-7 overall and are 5-2 in conference play, while UNCW enters with a 10-4 overall record and a 5-1 mark in Coastal Athletic Association competition.

Charleston has an all-time record of 19-6 against UNCW. The Cougars defeated the Seahawks in last year’s Colonial Athletic Association Tournament first round and have won their last three meetings. According to information provided by the team, fans can find live stats, streams, and updates on the Charleston women’s tennis schedule page at cofcsports.com.

This season, Charleston has earned two Coastal Athletic Association Doubles Team of the Week awards. On March 24, Oziera Ahmad and Riley Trinkle received recognition after going undefeated on court two and helping secure two conference wins for Charleston. Earlier in March, Sia Cariov and Francesca Salvato were honored after winning on court one during a close victory over Buffalo.

Most recently, Charleston secured a decisive 6-1 win over South Carolina State at home. Looking ahead, the Cougars await confirmation regarding their participation in the upcoming CAA Tournament. The six-team field will be announced Monday, April 13; tournament play is scheduled to begin Friday, April 17 at William & Mary’s Mackesy Tennis Center.
