Braden Michalak led The Citadel’s mixed rifle team with a total of 1,171 points in a recent competition against North Georgia and Wofford. The event took place in Charleston, South Carolina.
The Citadel finished second overall with a team score of 4,602. North Georgia secured first place with 4,663 points, while Wofford came in third at 4,570.
In the Smallbore discipline, The Citadel scored 2,261 points. For Air Rifle, the team earned 2,341 points.
Michalak achieved a score of 578 in Smallbore to finish third among all competitors and shot a 593 in Air Rifle for second place overall. This performance made him the top individual scorer for The Citadel.
Emrie Fast-Clarke placed fifth with an aggregate score of 1,161. She posted a 568 in Smallbore and matched Michalak’s Air Rifle result with a score of 593, tying him for third position in that event.
Ella Derrick completed the competition eighth overall by scoring a total of 1,148 points. Her breakdown included a 567 in Smallbore and a mark of 581 in Air Rifle.
