The Citadel wrestling team is set to compete in a home doubleheader this Sunday at McAlister Field House after concluding a four-event road trip. The Bulldogs will first face Bellarmine at 2 p.m. ET, followed by a matchup against Davidson at 4 p.m. ET.

During their recent away competitions, The Citadel split matches against Chattanooga and Appalachian State, who are among the top teams in the Southern Conference (SoCon). Jacob Silka, who moved up from 157 lbs to compete in the 174 lb class, has continued to find success since making the transition.

The Citadel enters the weekend with an overall record of 8-7 and a conference record of 4-1. Bellarmine stands at 7-6 overall and 4-2 in conference play, while Davidson holds a 5-12 overall record and is 3-3 in SoCon competition.

Projected starters for The Citadel include Tyler Washburn or Gylon Sims at 125 lbs, Teegan Vasquez at 133 lbs, Presley Johnson at 141 lbs, Carson DesRosier at 149 lbs (#28/NR ranking), Kyrel Leavell at 157 lbs (#26/33), Thomas Snipes at 165 lbs (#21/20), Jacob Silka or Braxton Russell at 174 lbs, Brodie Porter at 184 lbs, Adam Ortega or Roy Price III at 197 lbs, and Christian Bell or Mason Ayers competing in the heavyweight division.
