City of Charleston offices will be closed on Monday, September 1, in observance of Labor Day.

All city offices will not operate that day. Garbage and trash collection services, including those handled by Trident Waste and city crews, will follow a one-day delay starting Tuesday, September 2. The schedule adjustment means Monday’s route will be collected on Tuesday, Tuesday’s route on Wednesday, and so forth.

Recreation facilities across the city will also observe changes. The Municipal Golf Course will remain open on Labor Day. However, all tennis centers, pools, and other recreation facilities except for the golf course will be closed.
