The College of Charleston men’s golf team secured a victory at the Wexford Intercollegiate held at Wexford Golf Club in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The Cougars finished nine strokes ahead of Xavier to claim the team title, marking their first win since last season’s White Sands Bahamas Invitational.
Junior Miles Eubanks led the team by winning his first individual collegiate title with a 9-under score. He opened the tournament with a 6-under round, which was the best single round of the event. Eubanks also led all players in total birdies with 13 and ranked second in both par 3 and par 4 scoring.
Johan Bredenkamp matched Eubanks’ total birdies and played a bogey-free second round alongside him. Freshman Jules Lauer recorded Charleston’s only eagle of the tournament on hole 15 during the final round.
The Cougars will compete next at the General Hackler Championship hosted by Coastal Carolina from March 15-17.
