The College of Charleston softball team will travel to Towson for its last series of the 2026 season, with games scheduled from April 30 through May 2 in Towson, Maryland.

This final matchup is significant as it concludes the regular season for both teams. The first two games are set for a 2 p.m. start on Thursday and Friday, while Saturday’s season finale will begin at 1 p.m.

Charleston currently holds a record of 25-26 overall and is 13-8 in league play. In their most recent home game, Austy Miller delivered a walk-off single that secured a 5-4 victory over UNCW. Miller is now on a six-game hitting streak with nine hits during that span. The Cougars have achieved a strong home record at 20-12 this year, and Sunday’s win marked their ninth walk-off victory this season.

Pitcher Mackenzie Mathis contributed three strikeouts in the win against the Seahawks and improved her personal record to 13-7 for the year. Mathis reached her milestone by recording her 100th strikeout during the series opener against UNCW and has accumulated a total of 107 strikeouts so far this season.

In Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play, Halle Cannon leads Charleston with a .357 batting average, totaling 38 hits and scoring 19 runs overall. Cannon has also hit two home runs in conference matchups against Elon and Hampton.

Towson enters the series with an overall record of 23-25 and stands at 6-15 within CAA competition. The Tigers have performed well at home with a mark of 14-10 but recently faced conference losses to Monmouth and Stony Brook. Historically, Charleston leads the all-time series between these teams with a record of 21 wins to Towson’s fourteen; most recently, Charleston swept Towson during their April meeting in Patriots Point last year.

Only Friday’s game will be streamed live on FloCollege.
