Charleston Southern University reported a 3.7% tuition increase for the 2022-23 school year, based on its latest disclosure, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.
Students enrolled at the four-year private nonprofit institution paid $29,990 this year, up $1,060 from the $28,930 tuition charged during the 2021-22 academic year.
Approximately 76% of the university’s undergraduate students are residents of South Carolina, while about 23% come from other states and 2% are international students.
Data indicates that 98% of full-time undergraduates who began studies at Charleston Southern University in 2022-23 received some form of student financial aid. A total of 709 students were awarded grants or scholarships amounting to $15.9 million, and 433 students obtained student loans exceeding $3.2 million.
Across the entire undergraduate population, 2,520 students received grants or scholarships totaling $52.9 million. Additionally, 1,491 students borrowed $9.8 million in federal student loans.
