FDA conducted inspections of 5 companies in cities located in Berkeley County in Q3

There were five companies in cities associated with Berkeley County, South Carolina, that received five FDA inspections in the third quarter of 2025, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

This is a 66.7% increase over the number of companies inspected in the previous quarter, when three companies received three inspections.

Most of the companies inspected at the time operate in the Biologics sector. Both the Food and Cosmetics and Devices sectors sectors tied for second most common type.

All of the companies were in line with FDA regulations, and don’t need to adjust their managing operations or regulatory/administrative actions.

The FDA routinely inspects facilities across the nation to determine if the workplace and their products are compliant with FDA-regulated laws and regulations implemented to improve overall public health. Inspection results are then disclosed publicly.

According to its website, the FDA is a government agency that is primarily responsible for monitoring the production and distribution of human and animal drugs, biological products, medical supplies and tobacco products for safety and quality.
