Five members of the College of Charleston women’s tennis team received Colonial Athletic Association postseason honors, according to a May 1 announcement. Sia Cariov was named to the All-CAA First Team Singles, while Oziera Ahmad and Jaiden McKee earned spots on the All-CAA Third Team Singles. In doubles, Cariov paired with Francesca Salvato for All-CAA First Team Doubles recognition, and Ahmad teamed up with Riley Trinkle for All-CAA Third Team Doubles.
These awards highlight individual achievements during the 2026 season. Cariov competed in the No. 1 singles position, recording 13 wins overall and seven against conference opponents. She also secured a total of 11 sweeps this season. Cariov and Salvato won 12 matches together in doubles at the top spot, including three victories over CAA teams.
Salvato finished her senior year by partnering with Cariov to repeat as first-team honorees in doubles. Ahmad received a postseason award for her third consecutive year after notching 11 wins in singles at No. 2 and four against conference rivals. Ahmad also posted eight sweeps this season before joining freshman Riley Trinkle for third-team honors in doubles; they achieved twelve wins together with six coming against CAA competition.
McKee played primarily at No. 4 singles, tallying nine victories—including four over CAA opponents—and seven sweeps during her senior campaign from Buffalo, New York. She also contributed ten doubles wins throughout the season.
The College of Charleston women’s tennis team is set to compete as the seventh seed at the fourth annual UTR Sports NIT Championship beginning Tuesday, May 5 in Rome, Georgia. The Cougars will face second-seeded North Texas at Rome Tennis Center with first serve scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
