On Saturday, Nov. 22, former James Island Charter High School standout Gemoi Brown’s current collegiate team the Wingate Bulldogs lost 24-25 against the Benedict Tigers in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.
The game took place at Irwin Belk Stadium at 2 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Benedict Tigers in the tournament.
Michael Gibson has been named Southern Conference Player of the Week after strong performances both at bat and as pitcher for The Citadel Bulldogs men’s baseball team last week. Coaches praised his contributions on both offense and defense.
The Citadel Bulldogs are set to play against South Carolina on April 28 at Founders Park. Michael Gibson was recognized as Southern Conference Player of the Week following strong performances both offensively and as a pitcher.
