On Saturday, Nov. 29, former The Citadel standout Jamar Blandin’s current collegiate team the Newberry Wolves won 24-17 against the West Florida Argonauts in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.
The game took place at Pen Air Field at 1 p.m. and was the first matchup against the West Florida Argonauts in the tournament.
The Newberry Wolves’ next game will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. at ASU Coliseum.
The College of Charleston baseball team lost its series opener against Campbell by a score of 16-1. Sophomore Alex LaCoste extended his hitting streak despite the defeat. The teams will face off again on Saturday.
The College of Charleston beach volleyball team ended its season after competing at the Sun Belt Championship. The Cougars finished with an overall record of eight wins and twenty-one losses following defeats by UNCW and Southern Miss.
The College of Charleston men’s golf team is set to compete for its eighth CAA title from April 26-28 at Dataw Island Golf Club. The Cougars enter as top-ranked contenders following several record-setting performances this season.
