Former James Island Charter High School standout and current Wingate Bulldogs player, Gemoi Brown will compete in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.
They begin the tournament as a number four seed against the fourth seeded Benedict Tigers.
The first game is on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m.
This former Charleston County area high school athlete are set to compete on Wednesday, April 29.
Charleston Southern women’s tennis has been selected for the NCAA tournament and will face No. 5 seed North Carolina on May 1. This marks their sixth appearance since 2015 after winning another Big South title.
Michael Gibson has been named Southern Conference Player of the Week after strong performances both at bat and as pitcher for The Citadel Bulldogs men’s baseball team last week. Coaches praised his contributions on both offense and defense.
