How many companies in cities in Charleston County received FDA inspections in Q1?

There were six companies in cities associated with Charleston County, South Carolina, that received six FDA inspections in the first quarter of 2026, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

This is a 100% increase over the number of companies inspected in the previous quarter, when three companies received three inspections.

Most of the companies inspected at the time operate in the Biologics sector. The second most common type of company inspected worked in the Food and Cosmetics sector.

All of the companies were in line with FDA regulations, and don’t need to adjust their managing operations or regulatory/administrative actions.

The FDA routinely inspects facilities across the nation to determine if the workplace and their products are compliant with FDA-regulated laws and regulations implemented to improve overall public health. Inspection results are then disclosed publicly.
