Charleston Southern University’s Katie Stephens has been named the Big South Women’s Golfer of the Week after her performance at the Battle at the Beach tournament, according to an announcement from the Big South Conference on Thursday.
This is the fifth time in her career that Stephens has received this weekly honor.
Stephens played a key role in leading Charleston Southern to win the team championship at the event. The Buccaneers finished first among 13 teams with a two-round total score of 603 (+27). The tournament took place at Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club and was hosted by Stonehill College.
On an individual level, Stephens secured her second collegiate title and her second victory of the 2025-26 season. She completed the tournament with a two-round score of 141 (-3), starting with a round of 69 and following up with a 72. Stephens was the only golfer out of 74 participants to finish under par. Her opening round helped set up her win in the individual competition.
