College of Charleston senior Molly Hardwick has received her second CAA Golfer of the Week award this season following her showing at the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational, hosted by Michigan State.
Hardwick competed in challenging conditions during the event, facing wind gusts reaching 40 miles per hour. She opened with a score of 1-over 73 and maintained steady play despite blustery weather in the second round. In the final round, she finished at even par and went bogey-free on the back nine at Palm Aire Country Club, securing a tie for 12th place.
“Molly Hardwick battled the elements at the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational, hitting into wind gusts of 40 miles per hour en route to a top 15 finish. After opening the event at just 1-over 73 and dealing with blustery conditions in the second round, the senior battle through the conditions to close out the final round at even par. Hardwick went bogey-free on the back nine at Palm Aire Country Club to close out the invitational and lock into a three-way tie for 12th. The Nashville, Tenn., native tied or finished better than eight ranked golfers, according to Clippd,” stated officials.
The Nashville native either matched or outperformed eight ranked competitors during this tournament.
