Morgan Powell has joined the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce as the new Executive and Business Advocacy Assistant. In this position, she will work closely with President & CEO Kevin Sheilley and primarily support the Business Advocacy team, focusing on communication and coordination within the organization.

Powell has been a resident of Charleston for ten years. Her professional experience includes five years with the Charleston RiverDogs as Director of Ticket Operations, strategic messaging and marketing roles at The Citadel Graduate College and Transfer Program, and most recently, serving as a Client Success Manager in the technology sector. These roles have helped her develop skills in communication, relationship-building, and detailed project management.

Scott Barhight, Senior Vice President of Business Advocacy, commented on her appointment: “We’re excited to welcome Morgan to the Business Advocacy team. Her knowledge of the Charleston community, paired with her experience helping organizations connect with the people they serve, strengthens our ability to support members and track the issues shaping our region.”

Outside of work, Powell lives in West Ashley with her fiancé Justin and their three dogs. She enjoys fitness activities during weeknights and participates in local dining, sporting events supporting Auburn University’s teams, and outdoor recreation on weekends.

She expressed enthusiasm about meeting Chamber members and contributing to ongoing business advocacy efforts throughout Charleston.
