Nighttime lane closures will be in place on US 17 Northbound for the Ashley River Crossing bridge construction, according to the City of Charleston. The closures, coordinated with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and Mastec-Civil, will begin near Albemarle Road and extend for about half a mile north, ending near the exit ramp to Lockwood Blvd. Work is scheduled to start at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, and continue until 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6th.

The city urges drivers to exercise caution when passing through this section of the work zone.
