Nighttime lane closures are scheduled for US 17 Northbound as part of the Ashley River Crossing bridge construction. The City of Charleston is working with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and Mastec-Civil on this project. According to city officials, MasTec will close lanes starting near the intersection of Albemarle Road, extending about half a mile north, and ending near the exit ramp to Lockwood Blvd.

The closures will be in effect from 9:00 pm on Monday, September 15th, 2025, until 6:00 am on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025.

“Please use extreme caution when traveling through this area of the work zone,” stated city officials.

These measures are intended to facilitate ongoing construction work for the new Ashley River Crossing bridge.
