The City of Charleston, in partnership with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and Mastec-Civil, will implement nighttime lane closures for the Ashley River Crossing bridge construction. According to city officials, MasTec will close US 17 Northbound starting near the intersection of Albemarle Road. The closure will extend approximately half a mile north and end near the exit ramp to Lockwood Blvd. The lane restrictions are scheduled from 9:00 pm on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025 until 6:00 am on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution when traveling through this area during the construction period.
