Nighttime lane closures planned for Ashley River Crossing construction

Nighttime lane closures will be implemented on US 17 Northbound in Charleston as part of the Ashley River Crossing bridge construction. The City of Charleston is working with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and Mastec-Civil on this project.

According to city officials, MasTec will close lanes starting near the intersection of Albemarle Road and extending about half a mile north to just before the exit ramp to Lockwood Blvd. The closure will begin at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025, and continue until 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

Drivers are advised to use caution while traveling through this section during the specified hours.
