The 34th Annual Reindeer Run is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025, in downtown Charleston. The event will require several road closures and parking restrictions to ensure the safety of participants and facilitate the race.

Parking enforcement will begin at 5:00 a.m. on race day. The race route will close at 7:45 a.m., with the race starting at 8:45 a.m. Most of the route is expected to reopen by 9:30 a.m., though portions of Meeting Street will remain closed until all activities conclude at 11:00 a.m.

The course starts on Meeting Street near Cumberland Street, continues south to South Battery Street, then onto King Street and Murray Boulevard. Participants will make a U-turn near Tradd Street before heading to East Battery and returning north on Meeting Street to finish near Cumberland Street.

On-street parking will be prohibited beginning at 5:00 a.m. along sections of Meeting Street, South Battery Street, King Street, and Murray Boulevard. Vehicles left in these areas after this time may be towed.

Access for vehicles to businesses and residences along the route will be limited during the event. Officers will be stationed throughout the course to assist with traffic flow and help residents navigate closures.

Sgt. C. Stinson stated that officers would “assist with traffic flow and help residents navigate closures.”
