Graduates earn 222 degrees, certificates from Miller-Motte Technical College-Charleston

About 51.4 percent of the 222 degrees and certificates handed out by Miller-Motte Technical College-Charleston in 2017-18 were to students in transportation and materials moving programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Charleston conferred 114 certificates in transportation and materials moving programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in truck and bus driver/commercial vehicle operator and instructor. Data shows the school gave out 114 certificates in truck and bus driver/commercial vehicle operator and instructor, followed by 40 associate's degrees in medical/clinical assistant and 18 associate's degrees in criminal justice/safety studies.

The college enrolled 671 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
