TELUS International has opened its third digital customer service center in the U.S., expanding into North Charleston, where it is expected to create 1,200 jobs.

A customer service firm that creates custom digital solutions for corporations worldwide, TELUS International CEO Chuck Koskovich said in a Business Facilities press release that his company is "thrilled" with its arrival in North Charleston.

“We are thrilled to announce our newest site opening today in North Charleston and to recruit a significant number of new team members to join our global family of more than 56,000 who are without a doubt, driving the positive momentum we continue to achieve in the market" Koskovich said in the release.

According to the release, a $3.4 million investment will create 600 jobs in Charleston County by the end of this year, and another 600 by the end of 2022, adding to the company's 2,400 employees already working in digital customer service.

TELUS International will also support top international brands such as Barclays from the new, state-of-the-art, 80,000-square-foot digital call center filled with natural light and an abundance of amenities, including a gym, a coffee shop and a BBQ area, the release said.
