'We can't wait': Beyond Distilling Co. creating more than 63 jobs in Charleston

Craft spirit and distilling company, Beyond Distilling, announced plans this week to establish operations in Charleston County, creating more than 63 jobs through its operations.

In a release Dec. 1, Gov. Henry McMaster said this $767,000 investment marks yet another win for the Palmetto State as he welcomed the company to the South Carolina business community.

“Beyond Distilling Co. is excited to be a part of the incredible community that exists here in Charleston," company owners Kerianne Krause, Tyler LaCorata and Ryan Sadis said in the release. "We can’t wait to share our unique craft spirits and company culture with everyone."

Beyond Distilling Co. was founded in Charleston in 2019. According to the release, it works to produce world-class spirits that emphasize both local and exotically sourced ingredients of the highest quality. With their innovative taste on drinks, the company reimagines classic recipes with a unique twist and remains committed to a unique experience for both residents and tourists visiting the area. 

Expected to be completed by early 2022, the new facility will be located at 2157 Rich St., in North Charleston. According to the release, the establishment will offer an on-site restaurant and event space, increasing its capacity to meet growing demand.
