The 2022 Metro Leadership Visit (MLV) offers an exclusive opportunity to explore Boston - a city founded around the same time as Charleston and that shares many similarities to our region. Along with hearing lessons learned and best practices, attendees will engage with fellow leaders and influencers from our region, creating and building important relationships.
This year’s trip will explore:
- Boston's comprehensive approach to addressing equity and resiliency
- Building the world's top biotech hub and the importance of innovation and university partnerships
- One of the oldest regional attainable housing strategies
- Maintenance of their legacy rapid transit system and use of transit-oriented development
- An insider's look at the Big Dig project
