This year, the Charleston Metro Chamber Foundation, along with E3 Foundation and Roper St. Francis Healthcare, was awarded an $8.4 million EDA Good Jobs Challenge Grant, which will help these organizations ignite inclusive and equitable workforce growth within the healthcare industry.
To ensure compliance with all applicable grant rules and regulations, the Charleston Chamber Foundation is pleased to announce Folashade Odejimi as Grant Compliance and Reporting Manager. In this role, she will assist the Grant Officer with review of budgets and ensure the budget aligns with the project narrative, ensure that proposed costs are allowable, allocable and reasonable and consistently stay abreast of all aspects and changes in the programs’ contractual requirements, ensuring compliance with guidelines. She will also lead compliance with all reporting requirements of the funder and assist with preparation of documentations and schedules required by auditors.

Previously, Folashade worked with the US Centers for Disease and Control in Nigeria as a Senior Public Health and Administrative Specialist for Cooperative Agreement and was responsible for ensuring grantees complied with all applicable grant rules and regulations to include 2 CFR 200, 45CFR 75, HHS Grant Policy Statement and CDC Grant Policy and Administration Manual. She also ensured that costs proposed by grantees complied with the cost principles and ensured they were allowable, allocable and reasonable and that all costs were adequately justified and all required monthly, quarterly and annual reports were promptly submitted by grantees in line with CDC reporting requirements. She reviewed monthly expenditure reports from grantees and matched it against level of program achievement and provided training to grantees and staff on grants management.
Folashade is originally from Nigeria where she earned a Higher National Diploma in Accounting (Bachelors Degree Equivalent) and became a Certified Accountant. She currently lives in Ladson with her husband and kids.
