Mount Pleasant announces Town Performs Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for Rise Above Physical Therapy

Mount Pleasant, S.C. (March 23, 2023) - Owner Michael Santa Lucia, PT/ATC, and Clinic Director Alex Aton, PT, DPT, OCS joined by Councilman John Iacofano, partnering with Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce Director Rebecca Imholz and Chamber Board Members, celebrated the grand opening of Rise Above Physical Therapy with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The new business is located at 3530 Park Avenue Blvd., Suite 104.

Rise Above Physical Therapy believes in lifting expectations beyond limitations. They understand that with an injury or disease, comes anxiety and uncertainty about returning to everyday activities. Whether seeking pain relief or restoration of function, the team at Rise Above Physical Therapy will address all concerns and questions through a personalized recovery program. A variety of services and programs are offered for all orthopedic injuries, pre and post-operative care, vestibular balance rehab, pelvic floor rehab, and more. 

Michael has been in the physical therapy profession for over thirty years and has worked in virtually every aspect of the field. He also has experience working with sports teams such as the NFL Buffalo Bills and the NHL Pittsburgh Penguins. Alex is a former collegiate soccer player for Texas Tech University and is certified in dry needling, spinal and joint mobilizations/manipulations, vestibular rehab, and selective functional movement screens.
