NCPD officers and volunteers from RECAP (Rebuilding Every Community Around Peace) recently took to the streets of Union Heights to promote peace and safety in the neighborhood. The initiative aimed to address recent incidents of violence and engage with the local community to foster a sense of security and unity.

During the walk, officers interacted with residents, offering reassurance and solidarity in the wake of a tragic shooting that occurred earlier in the month. One officer affirmed, "The officers spoke with the residents and assured them of their commitment to working together to reduce crime in our neighborhoods."

The event was not exclusive to law enforcement, as community members were encouraged to participate and contribute to the collective effort to enhance safety in Union Heights. A call to action was extended to all, with the message, "You can also take part in these walks and make our community a safer place."

To stay informed and involved in future community walks and initiatives, individuals were directed to follow the organization's social media presence. A spokesperson emphasized, "Follow our Facebook page to stay updated on upcoming RECAP walks."

In conclusion, the collaboration between NCPD officers, volunteers, and local residents exemplifies a united front in the pursuit of a harmonious and secure community. As succinctly stated, "Together, we can create a community built on peace and safety."
