NCPD Cpl. Etminan and Mayor Burgess recently participated in the Miss Cancer Warrior breast cancer awareness walk, themed "Walking for a Cure." The event aimed to raise awareness about breast cancer and show support for those affected by the disease.

Cpl. Etminan expressed the agency's dedication to the cause, stating, "Our agency is committed to joining our community in supporting breast cancer fighters and honoring those who lost their lives to this disease."

Mayor Burgess emphasized the importance of early detection in the fight against breast cancer, highlighting that "Early detection is crucial." He also noted that, "With early detection, breast cancer is highly treatable, and the survival rate is excellent."

The organizers of the event encouraged everyone to be proactive about their health and prioritize regular check-ups to detect any signs of breast cancer early. They reiterated the message that early detection can save lives and urged the community to come together to support those battling the disease.

The walk served as a reminder of the ongoing need to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. By joining forces, individuals can contribute to finding a cure for this devastating disease.
