The City of Charleston offices will be closed on Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day. This federal holiday honors and mourns U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Public services will be affected by the closure. Garbage and trash routes will operate on a one-day delay during the week of May 27.

Recreational facilities will also see changes. The Municipal Golf Course will remain open on Monday, May 27. However, all tennis centers, pools, and other recreation facilities besides the golf course will be closed.

All city offices will be closed for the day as well.
